Byzantium

Although I figured out what kind of movie this was about ten minutes in, I was nonetheless hooked by it. Ronan was fabulous, perhaps even better than she was in "Brooklyn", which is saying a lot. And I would like to pass a law that mandates that Caleb Landry Jones must be in all films made, as he is so wonderful. I quite enjoyed this. 4/5

The Voices

This is a very dark, very black comedy that still made me laugh - Reynolds was wonderful in the lead. Damn good. 4/5

Runner Runner

I never really buy JT in movies - with another star this might have been compelling. As such it's just meh. 2.5/5

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

This is just terrible - it only gets a star for the effects. Jeremy Renner isn't worth this. 2/5

St. Trinian's

I'm honestly shocked that I enjoyed this rompish farce with a star-studded cast as much as I did - quite funny. 3/5

Clash of the Titans (2010)

Worthington, Fiennes & the Kraken alone make the changes worthwhile IMHO. I actually liked this. 3/5

Tamara Drewe

Frears latest is a saucy rom-com that sees a wonderful performance by Tamsin Greig - the acting makes this work. 3.5/5
