I really enjoyed this twisty thriller, even more so because, unlike many in this genre, it made a fair amount of psychological sense. Brody is excellent as always, and I was always one step behind the plot twists, which kept me guessing. A very solid film. 4/5

The Grand Budapest Hotel
It's simply actually. Either you like Wes Anderson movies or you don't. I liked early Anderson but have grown tired & very annoyed at his mid-to-late absurdist comedy. I don't enjoy it, I don't find it amusing or endearing, and I'm certainly tired of his directorial style. This latest film was wittier than most but still ludicrous in that way that simply annoys me. It gets a half a star for the humor though and for Fiennes' performance, which I truly enjoyed. 3.5/5

The Pianist
I oddly didn't have a strong reaction to this - I found it badly in need of editing & only moderately compelling. 3.5/5

The Jacket
Adrian Brody is wonderful in this thriller but the plot feels a bit flimsy for most of it. Good, not great. 3/5

Predators
This was way better than I suspected & a more worthy sequel than Predators 2. Brody was convincing - well done. 4/5

Predators
You know what? Just as good as '87 Predator. I actually bought Brody as an action guy. 4 stars. It were fun times.
