Stonewall

I know this film got a lot of bad press in the gay community, and I'm not knowledgeable enough to discuss what is or isn't factual about it. What I can say was that, purely as a film, I found it inspiring and very well acted all around. Well paced and well directed as well - this is a solid film. 3.5/5

Skin Trade

I would watch Tony Jaa read a phone book but this was painfully bad with horrid acting from everyone. Just bad. However, I honestly feel Jaa is the best martial artist of this generation, and if his English was better he could be such a star here. I hope he keeps at it. 2/5

Crave

This thriller had an interesting premise but it was brought down by mediocre execution and poor acting. Shame. 3/5

Frankie Go Boom

This comedy is smart, witty & well done, but all you need to know is Ron Perlman is in drag. A must see! 3.5/5

Tangled

This family animated film was terribly sweet & well voiced - I loved Donna Murphy in particular. It made me smile. 4/5

Local Color

This is a perfectly average, ordinary, nice, sweet coming of age story, unremarkable in any way. Good, but just. 3/5

I Sell The Dead

Quirky little UK movie about Victorian grave robbers who graduate from the dead to the undead. Fun & odd. 4 stars
